I reserved out unit online and then kept running into small problems during the process of completing lease and payment info. I was told software problems that needed to be forwarded higher up and also that maybe it was because I reserved on memorial day and there was just a delay in processing. Whatever the reason it felt like the process should have been more seamless for online applications. Then we got to the facility in high point for our new storage unit and opened it up and there was an air duct taking up a third of the unit. So I called and spoke to DeMarcus. He was very polite and promptly apologized and said the unit was supposed to be labeled as un-rentable but there was a glitch in their system that let it be rented out. He got us switched to another unit very quickly and made the new lease process fast and painless. He was wonderful with customer service. The unit was mostly clean but my husband and I found bits of broken glass and a pair of earrings ( we had our two year old with us so that was a big deal). We of course didn't have a broom to clean it up better. We did have to walk around to find carts to use, but they are provided and that's very nice. So very good customer service but maybe website bugs, for us I think all the kinks are now worked out and it'll be smooth sailing.
The storage facility is outdated, but adequate and seems climate-controlled. It does offer pull down doors with locks, and security screens above each unit; however, the entry doors to the facility are not particularly secure and are not wide enough for ease of movement with larger items. The customer service I encountered to initially acquire the storage space and set up the account was terrible. The first Cust Svc Rep assigned me a Unit, took my payment and sent me a receipt. However, when we arrived, the Unit was already in use, locked, and was not available. I had to leave the facility and make another call and was given a new unit that the Cust Svc Rep assured me was on the first floor. However, when we got back to the facility to access the second Unit, it was on the 2nd floor through the old office up a switch-back staircase which would be impossible to navigate with large pieces. I had to leave again, and make a THIRD call and was finally assigned an accessible unit. The excuses made were that the Cust Svc Reps work from home and cannot easily access the Copper software to see the latest information or to confirm which units are truly available. I find that completely unacceptable when you had no problem accepting my payment with your software. It should not have taken three separate calls to rent space from your company, and you should give your Customer Service Reps better support and more authority so they can perform their jobs in a satisfactory manner. They are the face of your company.
Easy to rent online. Called to see if I needed anything after I paid 1st month's rent. Clean. Secure.
Nice clean place would like to see more carts for moving stuff into your unit they only had 2 carts for the whole building thats not a lot and they werw very small carts
Great place right here in Mint Hill!! I trust these folks and the facility is awesome! They stay pretty full…. I think they’re recently under new ownership.
The facility and grounds are well maintained and I have always had a pleasant experience when interacting with staff/customer service. The first 3 months for $50 was a heck of a good deal as well for my 10×10 unit I currently have.
