Clean, dry, climate controlled. I was buying a house when I rented a unit from Dave, and I had numerous issues along the way. Car crash and repair, latent issues from that caused numerous late payments, and Dave was understanding. I was not sure when exactly I would cancel my rental, and Dave was also flexible with this and worked with me. I would recommend this facility and it's ownership.

I rented a storage locker at Eastside Storage for approximately two years. Dave, the manager, went out of his way to accommodate my needs. I worked in Customer Service my entire working life and CS is very important to me. Earlier this year, I had major surgery and as a result of all that was going on, forgot to send rent payment. Dave was super-understanding and didn’t charge me a late fee, which he certainly could of! The locker was clean, dry and probably the nicest one I’ve ever rented. If I ever need one in the future, I will go to Eastside!!!

I'd highly recommend Eastside Storage to anyone needing a clean, dry, storage unit on the east side of Janesville. For us the unit was really convenient, and Dave was really helpful. We got the unit on short notice, feeling lucky to find it with little planning, and was also more than pleasantly surprised how good Dave was when we were able to finally move everything into a new home. The few times I had a question or concern Dave actually answered the phone, and was able to help. That's just not the case with so many other folks in business. I'd definitely recommend doing business with Dave to anyone I knew and certainly would attempt to myself, if the need ever arises again.

The facilities are extremely clean and pleasant, unlike a lot of other places here in town. They also have a really nice Climate Controlled unit, with very affordable monthly rates. I have used a number of different storage facilities over the years, and have had by far the best experiences here at Eastside Stoarge. The owner, Dave, is a also a great guy and a real pleasure to do business with. What more could you ask for? Not much in my opinion. I highly recommend using Eastside Storage.

I received a text letting me know that my autopsy did not go through due to computer issues. I spoke to Jonathan, and he got it cleared up in just a few minutes. He even waived the pay by phone fee and made sure no late fee was applied. The area around the storage units is maintained well. The only reason for 4 stars is the fee keeps rising and is more than the average fee for the area.

We had to throw away a lot of our stuff. Don't get unit 4. Edit: I received a courteous and professional phone call apologizing for the damage, and giving instructions how to submit an insurance claim. Unfortunately, the claim would have required photos of the unit itself, which we no longer have access to.

It was not a good first experience. We were given the wrong code to get into the door. Took over 45 mins of talking to an out sourced calling service. Hard to understand the lady from the service. Were told we were by the wrong door when we explained several times where we were. After the lengthy time we were finally given the correct pass code. It should never take that long to give people the info needed to use a service which was paid for.

I called eastside storage and Cherryl Anima very kindly helped me rent a unit. Great customer service! Update: we stored our stuff in storage unit #4 for 6 weeks this summer, and had a horrible experience. The unit had a leaky roof and standing water in the middle of the unit. Metal rusted, our kitchen table and chairs were covered in mold, the few papers we had there got damp, cloth was damp and stinky. I had to wash and scrub and set things in the sun, but ultimately had to throw probably $1,000 worth of things away. Would not recommend or use them again.

We have used this storage company for 4-5 years. Multiple units. They were fantastic, until they hired an outside company to manage their facilities. Trying to understand them is the first problem, they sound like an out of the country call center. Unfortunately, the problem does not end there. In addition to our current unit that we pay $235 a month for, directly out of our account every month. We were trying to add an additional storage unit to our account. The representative of the storage management tried to force us to take their insurance on the unit. (This has never been required on any of the other units we have rented or are currently renting) We provided them with proof directly from our agent at Rural Mutual Insurance showing that the storage units are covered under our policy. Five days after signing up for this additional storage unit, we received an invoice for a month of rent due, although we just signed the contract and paid for a month of rent, and they not only added in coverage for THEIR insurance, but they also billed us for insurance for the unit that we have had for years, with no warning, no disclosure, nothing. Suffice it to say, our insurance covers all storage units. In addition, they billed us $165 for a unit that we have not had for almost 2 years. After calling them back and dealing with the language barrier once again, they refused to remove the insurance until we provide a deck sheet from the insurance company, and I hate to be redundant, but let me say again that this “proof of insurance” was already submitted. After contacting the management company again, we were told that having the full policy details, company name, agent name and contact info and a letter from the insurance company stating that the storage units are covered under our policy was not enough. They told us that we could have fraudulently created that information. After a little investigative work, I have discovered that the management company for Eastside Storage is called Copper Safe Storage, aka Coppersafe Storage, aka Copper Storage Management, and is not BBB accredited. They have had 4 complaints closed in the last 3 years and 2 complaints closed in the last 12 months. The company “appears” to be in Tennessee, but they are not registered with the Secretary of State of Tennessee and when I did a search, there was a note that was presented as follows; “* This company may be headquartered in or have additional locations in another country.” This company manages storage units throughout the United States, so tracking down their actual location would take more time than I have to spare. We have reached out to the storage unit owner several times on this issue, but that has been of no help in our current predicament. This was a great place for storage, but now that the management of the facility has been sourced out, it is a nightmare. A word of caution, be vigilant on reviewing your storage invoices for over charges and add-ons. We are currently looking for a new storage facility and will be terminating our relationship with EastSide Storage. We will also file a report with the BBB and leave a review on Consumer Reports. A note to Eastside Storage, keep the jobs here at home.

I have been at this place for over 5 years. It HAD great people that owned it. Now that Dave has sold it. IT SUCKS!!!!! When you call with a problem your on hold forever. They sent me a email stating they changed the rates. Come to find out they had a worng email on file so I never got the email. I got all these late fees totally over 200.00 which they received to take off my account. So I had to pay over 200 00 to get my stuff out of there. Which I'm so happy I did. I found the same size one for only 70.00 a month. Find someone else to rent storage from. This place sucks now

Eastside Storage has gone from a 5 to a 0 in just a few months. A management company runs the place which is out of Florida . When you call regarding a question or problem you talk to a foreign country. They require insurance which most people are covered under homeowners. After supplying them twice with evidence that I do in fact have insurance they still charged me. Had problems with trying to pay the monthly rent also. It is sad and maddening as the owners who ran their own business were nice people. The place has gone downhill. Hoping to clear out my unit soon and look for another place where the owners are present.
