We rented a storage unit from Robert just under 2 years. This was the best experience that we have had with a storage facility. Not that the others were bad, but the customer service experience with secure self storage in Franklin, Ga is by far superb to the others! If we are ever in need of a storage unit again we will definitely use this facility again!

The buildings are fine, seem to be fairly air tight. No leaks. I give one star because customers are made to pay for insurance, that keeps going up as well as the rental fee. Ive been a customer for little more than a year and the rent has went up a few too many times within a short period!! Im not getting any more for my money for the same small unit at nearly $100 a month as i was at $50 when i first rented it. Not happy at all!!

I am posting one star because no stars is not an option. Let's start by saying that we had a cross-country move that happened unexpectedly. We pre-paid for a truck and trailer to drive from Michigan to Alabama. The trailer that we were given had low air in the tires. We had to fill them up multiple times on the way down. Then, as we are only a few hours away from our destination, the tire on our trailer explodes on the express-way. We had paid $200 for roadside assistance - which we called, and their roadside assistance technician didn't arrive for an hour and a half. That's a significant amount of time to be sitting on the side of the road, in the dark, with an infant and 2 dogs. They fix the tire, and we are on our way. We arrive, but it's really dark. We can't see anything to unload the truck, and now it's too late to get the storage unit that we needed because the location was closed. We unpack as much as we can anyway, and finish in the morning. We still need to drop the rest of our load off in storage, so we run to do that - but I realize we're running short on time, as we are supposed to have the truck back, that day, by 6 pm. The nearest location to us is an HOUR away, in Georgia, AND there is a time difference of an hour, so we'd have to leave TWO hours ahead of time to get there. I panic and call Budget truck rental's customer service number, thinking surely they'd understand that a tire blowing delayed our progress. The corporate number told me to contact my drop off location, because they could charge me $85.00 per day. I call my drop off location, amd a man answers the phone. He sounds very annoyed that we need extra time with the truck. He says that if we can get the truck turned in before they open, he won't charge us the extra day. We were grateful. We drive all the way there, we filled up the truck before hand, however there is NOT a gas station in site (this location is in the middle of nowhere.) We find one gas station that didn't even have enough gas in the pump to get us the money's worth that we paid for inside. We realize we are running behind on time, so we decide that we'll pay for whatever the gas was that was left over, and just get back on the road. We get to the location, and it doesn't appear to be open. I guess the location shared a building with a different business. The hours posted said they didn't even open until 11 am. Here's the kicker - they call us on our long commute back to let their awful customer service SHINE. They told us that because we didn't fill the tank up, they are charging us the gas, plus the extra day now (as if the entire experience hadn't been inconvenient enough). So here I am, pissed, but willing to pay whatever is owed. I ask for the amount that will be charged, and they told me thay'd have to wait until they were finished gassing up the truck to know how much fuel was used before they could tell me, and that they'd call me back. They never call, and I receive a notification from my BANK telling me that a charge of $241.00 has been taken from my account. $241!!! For a single day and less than 1/2 tank of gas! I call the location and she tells me that the amount added up as 85 for the extra day, the gas, and then TAXES and FEES that basically doubled my expected charges. I attempted to get her to break down the yaxes and fees, and she was very rude to me. She argued with me about drop off situation rather than breaking down my charges as I'd asked. I end up asking her to e-mail me a receipt (which she has yet to do), and getting off the phone. I do not recommend this location to ANYONE. UPDATE regarding the response received below, the budget truck rental is operated out of the same building by the SAME PEOPLE. They also conveniently had access to our personal information to contact my husband (who's name the rental was in) and ask him to remove his review. How did they get his phone number, if it's from a completely separate company?! That's because it's not. There are no separate suite numbers for different businesses at this location. One Building, one staff.
