Had trouble getting into my online account to pay my bill but called and spoke to Diether who was very helpful and he fixed the issue. My only complaint is that he kept cutting out so his connection must’ve been really weak. He was very helpful though. As far as the unit I have only used it for a month and all is well thus far. It can be tricky to open the unit door because of the metal slide sticking but other than that it’s ok. Also not a lot of room to drive through so if more than one vehicle is there you have to back out. That’s a little frustrating but I can deal with that.

Copper Safe Storage added storage units in the middle of the open U area. They made the driving area so small, you can not get a trailer to any unit. Nor can you make a turn inside the lower complex due to the units being too close together. Absolutely a mess and an over-extension of greed. Before renting, be sure to go over to the Mountain City complex and look at the lower units. I would try to add a photo, but don't won't to get my pickup truck stuck in the turn and have to back out. The units in the back on the lower level are unacceptable, with anything larger than a very small car.

Horrible experience. Just purchased a very nice RV in NC. needed a place to store it for about a week to get tag and title paperwork complete in TN where I Live. But they won’t allow me to park my insured RV until it already has a Tag, with a Title complete. Wasted 30 mins on phone with someone from another country that has no concept of how silly this is. I’m at an RV park in NC now, and there is no requirement for me to have these things finished less than 24 hours after purchase. I have all the paperwork for the purchase and I’m fully insured. These people run a bureaucracy that is inefficient and ineffective, but I’m sure they feel very important.

Drove over an hour to get to my new unit, had a hornets nest hanging inside when I opened the door. I am extremely allergic and was very lucky to not have been stung. Now my car is full of belongings an hour from home with nowhere to put it. EDIT: I will say that they refunded me without much hassle. I still feel that vacant units should be inspected before leasing to individuals. This one had not been open for some time if hornets had time to build a nest.

Rip off! They continued to raise the rates after it switched hands! Personally my unit went from $60 per month to $120. I was homeless and trying to find a place that I could afford to rent and everything I owned was in that storage unit. I had finally found a place to live but with no vehicle and circumstances being such as they were I was unable to pay the sudden price increase and come up with all of the money to rent and get utilities turned on! I requested, because of being a good customer that gave no problem and paid my rent up until then, to please allow me time to get my stuff out of there. They refused. I lost all respect for such a unprofessional, disrespectful business that didn't even have anyone on sight! Hope you enjoyed my personal and private paper work, pictures of my family, etc. God has richly blessed me and as far as a business that greed leads I do not feel will prosper. No judgement only opinion based on personal experience

To his surprise, he had not moved his stuff out nor took the lock off. He had to drive from out of town to check it, because the inapt person on the phone told him that the only option he had was to call the police...very unhelpful!!! Upon his arrival, he saw the lock still there and after inspection all of his belongings were there. What idiot's! They don't know what is going on at their properties. Also raised the rent 2 times since May, without any notifications. If you have to pay a few dollars more...GO ELSEWHERE...you won't regret it. They have the worst customer service and among the worst in the country to rent from. Don't trust them with your hard earned money. TERRIBLE!!! Absolutely the worst in Mountain City, there are more in the area to choose from and they appreciate your business and are locally-owned. If you want a nightmare....rent from Copper Safe. Should be Copper Unsafe!

They charge payment fees multiple times a month and then deny that your card was charged even though you have the card statement showing. They will not refund or allow you to send the proof you were charged multiple times. They also added a $125 fee to the payment and Increase storage rates every few months.
